Shirley’s Big Green Carnival 2024

Come along to Shirley’s Big Green Carnival – Sunday 21st July 2024. Come and see Live Music, Alpacas, Marching Band, Eco Inspired Fancy Dress, Food Stalls, Greyhound Rescue and much, much more.

The Carnival is designed to be a memorial to Wayne Howard and to celebrate the eco-friendliness of the local community.

This will be a walking carnival, with all participants showing their take on how to save our planet. There will be no lorries, however, there is scope for wheelchairs, scooters, bicycles, etc. The procession will start and end at St James’ Park. There will be stalls in the park, all displaying eco-friendly and eco-educational products.

We aim for approx. 200 people to take part in the procession, with lots more of the local community lining the route, celebrating and enjoying the parade. If successful, we will make this an annual event, with more numbers taking part.

Parade leaves St. James’ Park 11:00am and Returns 1.00pm
Stalls and arena open until 4.00pm
